GR12 titanium plates for ships (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni)
Corrosion resistant alpha titanium alloy GR12 (corresponding to China TA10) material, optimized for crevice corrosion resistance by adding 0.3% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.8% nickel (Ni), combines high strength, corrosion resistance, and process adaptability, suitable for marine engineering, chemical engineering, high-end equipment manufacturing and other scenarios.
- Outstanding corrosion resistance:It exhibits excellent performance in seawater, high-temperature chlorides (such as 3.5% NaCl solution), and weak reducing acids (such as 5% sulfuric acid), with an annual corrosion rate of less than 0.001mm. Its resistance to crevice corrosion is close to that of palladium containing alloys (TA9), making it particularly suitable for deep-sea high-pressure environments (such as 5000 meter level detector casings).
- Mechanical performance balance:The annealed tensile strength is Greater than or equal to 485MPa, the yield strength is Greater than or equal to 345MPa, the elongation is Greater than or equal to 18%, the density is 4.51g/cm ³, and the specific strength is twice that of 316L stainless steel. It can meet the structural strength requirements while being lightweight.
- Process and environmental adaptability:Support hot rolling, cold rolling, and welding processing, with welding joint strength reaching over 90% of the base metal. Working temperature range -253 ℃ to 350 ℃, excellent low-temperature toughness (-196 ℃ impact toughness>50J/cm ²), suitable for LNG storage tanks and chemical reaction vessels.
- Ocean engineering: Ship seawater cooling system pipelines, deep-sea detector pressure resistant shells, with an annual corrosion rate of less than 0.001mm in a 5000 meter deep sea environment.
- In the field of chemical engineering, the lining of reaction vessels and acid washing equipment have stable corrosion resistance in 5% sulfuric acid or 10% hydrochloric acid below 80 degree .
- Chemical composition: Ti{{0}}.3Mo-0.8Ni (Mo 0.2-0.4%, Ni 0.6-0.9%), in accordance with ASTM B265 and GB/T 3621 standards;
- Typical specifications: thickness 0.5-50mm, width Less than or equal to 2000mm, surface can be customized with acid wash or glossy finish;
- Certification support: ISO 9001 certification.
- Adopting vacuum consumable arc furnace melting+multi-directional rolling process, the grain size is uniform and dense, and the entire process passes ultrasonic testing and third-party mechanical property testing.
- Choosing this product can replace traditional stainless steel and copper nickel alloys, reducing equipment weight by 15% -25% while extending service life by more than three times, providing a reliable solution for high corrosion and high stress scenarios.
